Charles M. Snyder of Kansas City died at his home about 8 o’clock Thursday night, Jan 21 of heart failure. Mr. Snyder had been in failing health for several years but had never been confined to his bed and the day of his death was in his usual good spirits.  He was born near Crawfordsville, Ind Aug 13, 1867. When just a boy he came to Missouri with his parents and lived in Jasper until manhood.  He was converted while attending Scarritt College at Neosho, Mo and has always lived a consistent Christian life. Few men have lived a more pure, noble and upright life than Mr. Snyder.  A man of few words but fine intellect and a wonderful memory. He was married to Miss Fannie Frick of Jasper on May 27, 1893. To this union were born two children, Leo Paul, who died in infancy, and Joseph Jacob, who with Mrs. Snyder survives him. He was a member of M. W. A. Camp No. 2002, Kansas City, and the members of Asper Lodge showed their loyalty to the order by their assistance in caring for their deceased brother. The following members of Camp No. 5826 acted as pallbearers: Omer Webb, Wm, Crandall, Eli Scott, J. R. Bowers, Jake Gather and Fred Folimer. Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife and son Joe. A sister, Mrs. Jennie Jackson of Crawfordsville, Ind, Mrs. AM Crandall of this city, albert D. Snyder, Cloverdale, Ind and George Willard Snyder of San Bernardino, California. A half-brother, Ernest C. Snyder, San Francisco and a half sister, Mrs. Gertrude Bagley, Los Angeles. The remains were brought to Jasper on the early morning train Saturday and services were held at the residence of Mrs. Jacob Frick at 10 o’clock Sunday morning. Rev. WK Chatten of the ME Church conducted the services and a male quartet composes of Messrs.
